It is a variation of the popular dishcloth with a triangle beginning and end. It is perfect for throwing over the shoulder to burp the baby. My son and daughter-in-law love the stack of these I made for them. Materials: Worsted weight cotton US size 7 needles. Pattern: Cast on 3 stitches. 1. Knit one row. 2. Knit one, increase in next stitch, Knit 1 (4 stitches on needle.) 3. Knit one row. 4. Knit 1, Increase in each of next two stitches, knit 1 (6 stitches on needle) 5. Knit one row. 6. Purl 3, YO, Purl until the end of the row. 7. Knit 3, YO, Knit until the end of the row. 8. Repeat rows 6 and 7 until there are 40 stitches on the needle. 9. Purl 3, YO, Purl two together, purl until end of the row. 10. Knit 3, YO, knit two together, knit until end of the row. 11. Repeat rows 9 and 10 until desired length. 12. Purl two, Purl two together, YO, Purl 2 together, Purl until the end of the row. 13. Knit two, Knit two together, YO, Kit 2 together, Knit until the end of the row. 14. Repeat row 13 until you have 9 stitches on the needle. 15. Knit 1, K2 tog, knit to end of row. 16. When you have 2 stitches left, knit last two stitches together.
