Abbreviations: K (knit) p (purl) St (stitch) inc (increase) Cast on 16 sts. Work 9 rows of k1, p1 ribbing. K across next row, inc 1 at beginning and end of row (18 sts). Work in stockinette (k 1 row, p 1 row) until piece measures 7 inches. Bind off all sts on right side. Make second piece in same way. Steam press each piece lightly on wrong side. Sew bound off edges together on wrong side. Sew or weave side together on right side.
